Long Established as the UK’s leading manufacturer of marquees and temporary structures the business has constantly changed and evolved over the years but has always remained true to it’s origins and values of quality and service.

Founded in 1986 Tectonics UK are proud of our reputation for being a friendly, approachable, family run Business. In 2022 we purchased Barkers Marquees which means we can now trace our manufacturing heritage all the way back to 1921.

Our goal is simple. To manufacture high-quality, user-friendly products at affordable prices, backed up by customer services that are second to none.

Director
Simon Hadley
Simon founded the company in 1986, and many of the team have been here with him since the start which is testament to his good nature as both an employer and as a businessman.
His experience and knowledge of the industry is second to none. He is a dedicated family man having raised 3 children (and many pets) with his wife Jane. When not at work Simon enjoys walking and looking after his many animals.

Director
Jake Hadley
In August 2020, Jake Hadley joined Tectonics UK and now leads the business alongside Simon and their fantastic team. Jake's passion and enthusiasm is truly contagious, bringing an exciting energy to the office!
​
Before stepping into the family business, Jake spent several years as a Game Keeper, taking him to various parts of the UK. Now, his dedication and vision continue to drive Tectonics UK forward.
When he's not immersed in work (which isn't often!), Jake enjoys training and working his four dogs and making memories with friends and family.

Sales Manager
Simon Thompson
Simon joined the team in May 2019 after working for many years as an Estate Agent.

His top priority is the full customer experience from initial enquiries, the purchasing process, right through to after sales care.
​
He married his wife Emily in 2016 and they welcomed son Joshua in 2021. In his spare time, Simon loves going on days out with his family, playing football and binging box sets.

Design and Technical Manager
Eddie Primmer
Eddie has been with us for over 25 years and has worked his way up from the shopfloor to where he is today.
​
He has worked in all areas of the business during his time here, making him the ideal person to be Design and Technical Manager as there is nothing he doesn't know about our products.
​
Eddie married his wife Lucia in 2017 and welcomed son Elijah in 2022. If Eddie is not at work or spending time with his family, he will most often be found on the cricket pitch.

Production Manager
James Stubbington
Since he joined the company at the start of 2023, James has made a huge contribution to many areas of the business, most notably setting up the new Woodwork Department in Lasham and also being an integral part of the integration of Barkers Marquees. As he has settled into the business, his role has evolved to that of Production Manager.
When James isn’t working, he likes nothing better than long walks with his dog and going for adventures in his campervan at the weekends.

Business Support Manager
Emma Bennett
Emma joined the business at the start of 2022. Before having her 2 children, Zac in 2013 and Isla in 2017 she worked in London for 15 years as Operations Manager for various Retail Companies.

Having worked for large corporate companies for so long, Emma loves being part of a small and friendly team in a Family run business where you can make a difference every day.

Yard Manager
Louis Fitton
Louis joined the team in January 2026 as Yard Manager and has already made a fantastic impression with his friendly, enthusiastic, and hands-on approach.
Bringing experience as a driver and supervisor, Louis plays a key role in keeping the yard safe, organised, and running efficiently — from managing deliveries and stock control to supporting teams across the business.
Known for his bubbly personality and helpful attitude, Louis is a valued addition to the team and always willing to go the extra mile to keep operations moving smoothly.

Steel Department Supervisor
Andy Laney
Andy has been a key part of the team since 1999, bringing over 25 years of specialist welding experience to the Steel Department.
As Steel Department Supervisor and Responsible Welding Coordinator (RWC), Andy oversees day-to-day production and quality control within the department, ensuring every project is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
With industry certifications including BSEN 9606-1 and BSEN 9606-2, Andy is passionate about maintaining quality craftsmanship.

Fabric Department Supervisor
Simon Young
Simon has been part of the team since 1999, bringing extensive hands-on fabrication and welding expertise to his role as Fabric Department Supervisor.
With over 15 years of specialist welding experience, Simon plays a key role in maintaining high production standards, overseeing quality control, and supporting the development of the team.
As a certified Responsible Welding Coordinator (RWC), First Aid and Fire Marshal trained, and licensed forklift operator, Simon is committed to keeping operations safe, efficient, and running smoothly while mentoring the next generation of skilled fabricators.
